How Liquidify rendering is compared with native references.
Liquidify renders Liquid Glass materials with CSS and SVG. Its components follow native proportions, interaction behavior, and surface treatments in the browser.
@liquidify/glass combines backdrop blur, refracted tint, highlights, and content. The Material provider or a component’s material prop selects the surface:
frosted: greater opacity over complex backgrounds.regular: balanced transparency and legibility.clear: greater transparency over quiet backgrounds.Material and depth express grouping and emphasis. They do not replace accessible semantics.
Proportions, corner radii, control heights, animation, and state treatments follow Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines.
Components are compared with native references captured in a simulator, in light and dark appearances over a diagonal background. Reference captures and visual regression tests help detect rendering differences.
The reference images belong to the private verification process. They are not included in this public documentation.
The complete effect requires modern CSS and SVG filter support. When those features are unavailable, backdrop blur and static highlights remain. Semantics, state, and layout do not depend on refraction. See Browser support.
