• Which representation fits the relationship: directed flow, network connectivity, or hierarchy, and what each link or node encodes.
• How layout, crossings, cycles, direction, and aggregation preserve the meaning of the dataset.
• How people inspect relationships and move through them with a keyboard or assistive technology, including a useful nonvisual alternative.
